Teen Robbed on Haseco Ave., PC Man Gets Felony for Assault

A Port Chester man faces felony assault charges after allegedly slamming his brother onto a stack of porcelain tiles in their backyard.

A teenager was sent to Greenwich Hospital after he was attacked and robbed Sunday night, police said.

The 17-year-old victim was walking north on Haseco Avenue at 9:45 p.m. when he spotted a group of four or five men walking toward him. The teenager crossed to the other side of the street, but one of the men followed him.

The man stood in the teen's path and "asked him if he had a bogey," a slang word for a cigarette, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

When the victim said he didn't have any cigarettes, the suspect punched him in the head, sending him to the ground where he struck the right side of his head on the pavement. The victim felt hands going into his pants pocket, and the suspect took the victim's cell phone and pulled headphones off his ears before running off.

When officers arrived, they called for an ambulance to bring the teenager to Greenwich Hospital, Ladeairous said. The victim described the suspect as a light-skinned Hispanic man who was wearing a white t-shirt.

Argument between brothers turns bloody after body slam

A Port Chester man faces felony charges after slamming his brother onto a stack of porcelain tiles in their backyard after a weekend argument, according to police.

Gustavo Pascual, 25, came home a few minutes after noon on Saturday and found his 26-year-old brother arguing with another family member in the backyard of their Locust Avenue home, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

Pascual got involved in the argument, which became heated, and struck his brother. In the resulting struggle, Pascual picked his brother up and slammed him down onto a stack of porcelain tiles, opening a deep gash three inches wide on the victim's right arm.

The victim was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center by ambulance and eventually required surgery because of the severity of the injury. Pascual was charged with second-degree assault, a felony.
