State Police: Port Chester Man Allegedly Scammed $13,000 in Unemployment Benefits

Port Chester resident Xavier Conners, 37, was arrested by New York State Police in connection with the alleged collection of more than $13,000 in unemployment benefits.

On April 29, 2014, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Xavier Conners, a 37-year-old Port Chester resident, for Offering False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.
 
Conners was arrested subsequent to a joint investigation with the New York State Department of Labor and the New York State Police.  It is alleged that Conners unlawfully collected over $13,000 worth of unemployment benefits while he was gainfully employed. 
 
Conners was issued an Appearance Ticket and ordered to appear before the Village of Port Chester Court on May 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.
