Random Guns Found In Police Station Basement, Westmore Reports

Two unexplained guns have been found in the basement of the Port Chester police station, according to the Westmore News. The discovery was reported to the Village board with no explanation about where they are from or why they were there last Wednesday, Westmore’s Claire Racine reported.

Apparently, the guns were found during the village’s investigation into the large amount of drugs and money that have gone missing from police evidence room.

Racine quoted trustees Dan Brakewood, Luis Marino and Sam Terenzi all saying they do not have more information and that they hope to see a conclusion. Brakewood reportedly said he expects this investigation to have a significant impact on the police department.  A memo regarding a reorganization of the police department was sent to board members late Wednesay night, according to Wetsmore’s article.
