While writers at GQ recently expressed surprise at the number of trendy eateries popping up in Port Chester, a few days ago the New York Times dedicated some space to an old favorite with a new look.
A food critic from the paper visited Alba's on North Main Street and offered this observation: The restaurant "is hardly hip, but it will probably continue to please its clientele long after some of Port Chester’s trendier eating spots have lost their luster. Although the décor may be new, the cuisine is still largely old-school Italian, and regulars will recognize many past favorites."
Whether they're headed to established restaurants that have undergone recent reinventions, or new hotspots popping up around town, one thing's certain – there are a lot more food writers headed to Port Chester these days.
But no one knows Port Chester's culinary topography better than the locals. What's the best restaurant in Port Chester, and what's your personal favorite dish?
