Port Chester Woman Arrested on Drug Charge at Supermarket

Police: 24-year-old found unconscious in store bathroom, had several packages of heroin.

A Port Chester woman found unconscious in the bathroom of a downtown supermarket has been arrested on a drug possession charge, according to Port Chester police.

Alexandra Moran, 24, of 309 Willett Ave., Port Chester, was arrested as a result of a 2:20 p.m. incident Friday at the Stop and Shop at The Waterfront. Police said they received a report of an unconscious woman and when they arrived at the store they found Moran in the store bathroom with a hyperdermic needle and several small bags containing heroin.

Moran was treated by emergency medical service personnel and taken to White Plains Hospital for treatment.

Police said she was charged with seventh-degre criminal possession of a controlled substance and faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
