Port Chester Store Worker Charged in Thefts Adding Up to $900

Police: Cash report stolen in several incidents.

An employee of a department store in Port Chester has been charged with petty larceny in connection with thefts adding up to $900, according to Port Chester Police.

Kiara Alexis, 19, of 124 Winthrop Ave., New Rochelle, was arrested Tuesday at the Kohl's store, 431 Boston Post Road, after store management accused her of taking money from a cash register, police said.

Alexis is accused taking $400 on Tuesday, $200 on Dec. 26, 2012, $100 on Jan. 8 and $200 on Jan. 27. Police said $400 was recovered.

Alexis faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.

I am amazed that anyone tries to get away with anything in that store! Maybe they should put up a sign out front with a running total of how many arrests they have for shop lifting and put up a sign next to the time clock for how many employees have been arrested.

Yep, Kohl's is like a training ground for "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime"

Ms. Alexis, maybe Khols should of told before they hired you that the money goes in the register not your pocket. Thats stealing.
