Port Chester Police Investigate Kohls, BP Thefts

Port Chester police have charged a 17-year-old Bronx woman who works at Kohls on the Boston Post Road after she was caught stealing a total of $570 in cash from the store on six different occasions in October and November.

Police withheld her name because of her age.

The store’s loss prevention group had notified police about the matter, officials said.

Port Chester police are looking at video to help determine who stole about $260 worth of propane tanks, four in all, from a BP gas station at 152 King St.

A call came in about the thefts at 8:48 a.m. on Nov. 17, police said. When the station attendant opened up that morning, he saw that the locks to the propane tank racks had been cut off, police said.
