Port Chester Police: Homeless Man Slashed On Midland Avenue

34-year-old could provide police with few details of attack.

A 34-year-year-old homeless man was slashed twice in an attack involving several other men on Midland Avenue in Port Chester, according to Port Chester police.

The injured homeless man was discovered by police about 3:23 p.m. Wednesday after police received a report of a fight in the area. Village officers found the homeless man and discovered he had been slashed on the upper left arm and on the left side of his body.

The homeless man, however, could not provide police with details of what happened to him. Police said witnesses reported seing the homeless man walking on Midland Avenue when he was attacked by a group of about five men and thrown to the ground.

The homeless man told police he was hit from behind an knocked out. He was taken by ambulance to Greenwich Hospital for treatment.
