Three Port Chester residents face drug charges after a six-month investigation of cocaine sales at a building on Broad Street in Port Chester, according to Port Chester Police.
Lt. James Ladeairous said an undercover operation conducted with the assistance of Westchester County Police culminated with a raid on an apartment at 30 Broad St. at about 4:53 p.m. Friday. The raid uncovered cocaine and drug-related materials including scales and plastic bags used for packaging.
The investigation started in July 2012 and included six drug purchases. Ladeairous said the ground-floor business at 30 Broad St. was not involved in the investigation, with drug sales taking place upstairs in an apartment.
Charged are:
- Neftali Gonzalez-Mercado, 30, of 30 Broad St.
- Daniel Becerril, 28, of 30 Broad St.
- Ellias Maya, 36, of 75 Traverse Ave., Port Chester
All three are charged with third-degree and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Ladeairous said all three are expected to face additional charges.
All three face hearings in Port Chester Village Court.
