Port Chester Man Robbed By Would-be Prostitute

The victim told police he was 'lured' into a dark alley where he was robbed.

A Port Chester man was relieved of $200 after a woman "lured" him into a dark alley on Midland Avenue with the promise of sex, Port Chester police said.

Officers responded to Midland Avenue at 12:02 a.m. on Monday and found the 21-year-old victim sitting on the sidewalk, roughed up with a torn t-shirt and shorts. The victim told police he had just left the nearby Pathmark grocery store and was walking home near the intersection of Midland Avenue and Leonard Street when he noticed a man and a woman behind him.

The victim said he thought the pair was following him, but noticed the man become distracted as he began to argue with another woman on the street. That's when the first woman approached the victim and offered him sex, according to statements made to police.

The woman "lured him into an alley behind Dunkin Donuts and started touching him, propositioning him for sex," Lt. James Ladeairous said.

Instead of a clandestine couple of minutes behind the donut shop, the victim was confronted by the man who had been following him earlier. The man took $200 from the victim's wallet and walked away toward Grace Church Street.

The first suspect was described as a black male wearing a black shirt and blue jeans; the second suspect was a black female wearing "a black and white, thigh-high shirt dress." Police checked the area, but the suspects were gone. An investigation is continuing.
