Port Chester Man Knocked Off His Bike By Car on N. Main Street

Police: 25-year-old not hurt in accident.

A Port Chester man riding a bicycle on North Main Street avoided serious injury when he was struck by a car and knocked off his bike, according to Port Chester police.

A 25-year-old village resident was struck about 6:30 p.m. on Monday by a car driven by a 60-year-old Port Chester man. Police said the car was turning from Highland Street onto North Main Street at the time and the driver told police that by the time he saw the bicyclist he could not avoid hitting him.

Police said the bicyclist complain of minor leg pain and did not need medical attention.
