Port Chester Man Faces Sex Assault, Larceny Charges

He's charged at Westchester County Jail in May incident.

A Port Chester man is facing fourth-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree larceny charges following his arrest by Greenwich Police.

According to a police report, Jeus Mendez Arceo, 46, of 44 Fox Island Rd., Port Chester, was arrested Sept. 17 at the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla. The charges stem from a May 21, 2012, incident. Details were not provided in the report.

Arceo's bond was set at $5,000 and he was ordered held on a immigration detainer, according to the report. He was scheduled to appear Sept. 24 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

The site is unfriendly for even casual perusing and even more user-unfriendly for any sort of dialogue between readers and those who wish to make comments. It might have been a well-intentioned make-over, but it's diminished user traffic and turned folks off. Local issues used to be aired here ... and then debated and commented on by the folks most impacted by those issues. That's all been sabotaged by the new format. Better to admit your error or face the reality of less user traffic and probably less ad revenue as well.

Linda T., I would guess Mrs. Brakewood lives in Port Chester if she is running for the Port Chester…Read More Board of Ed. Even if the schools had to impose an austerity budget, your taxes would still go up. The state has more control in these matters than you think.

Linda, the per pupil expenditure in PC schools is the lowest in Westchester and Rockland counties…Read More ... by about $2,000 per student. The issue is two fold. First, our property values are not as strong as our neighbors, so our homes have a higher levy in order to fund the schools. Second, and more important, is that the reliance on property taxes slams moderate income communities like PC. We need for the state to move to an income tax to fund schools. Scream at your legislators ... not the BoE.
