Port Chester Man Cited for Trespassing at Public Housing

Police: Man had been told stay away from building.

A Port Chester resident who had been previously warned to stay away from a Port Chester public housing site has been charged with trespassing at the building, according to Port Chester Police.

Police said Lamont Young Jr., 33, of 11 Central Ave., Port Chester, was spotted by a village officer at 70 Purdy Ave. at 11:40 p.m. on Sunday. Police said Young was on the Port Chester Housing Authority's "no trespassing" list.

Police said Young ran off when a village officer tried to question him. Young was found nearby hiding behind a car in a private driveway.

Young was cited for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor, and he was later released pending a March 14 hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
