Port Chester Man Charged with Felony DWI

A drunk driver crashed a vehicle into a telephone pole at Haseco and Bulkey Avenues at 1:51 Tuesday morning, police said.

The 26-year-old driver, Ociel Hernandez, of Exchange Place, Port Chester, who is unlicensed and was convicted of Driving While Intoxicated two years, was charged with several counts of felonies: Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Driving While Intoxicated and Driving with a BAC higher than .08, normally a misdemeanor, the last two are felonies because of his previous DWI conviction. He was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and having no insurance, both violations. No one was injured in the accident, police said.
