A Port Chester man was hit with drunken driving charges after the Lincoln Navigator he was driving slammed into a utility pole on Putnam Avenue, according to Port Chester Police.

Four people were in the 1999 SUV at the time of the 8:25 p.m. incident in Friday, but police said no one required medical treatment.

Police said they discovered that Guamarriga's driver's license was revoked in 2012 because of a DWI-related incident. As a result, Guamarriga was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, police said, because Guamarriga had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
