Port Chester Man Charged in Fox Island Road Incident
Police: Window smashed by rock; court order violated.
A Port Chester man is accused of violating a court order after an incident on Fox Island Road, where a rock was thrown through the living room window of another Port Chester man, according to Port Chester Police.
Jesus Mendez, 47, of 36 Fox Island Road, was arrested at 1 a.m. Thursday after village police were called to investigate a report of an unwanted person at a Fox Island Road home. Police said a village resident told police officers that Mendez was yelling at him from outside and banging on the door.
The incident, police said, escalated when a rock was thrown through the resident's living room window. Mendez was charged with criminal mischief for breaking the window, but he was also charged with criminal contempt because a court order had previously been issued to keep him away from the resident whose window was broken.
