Port Chester Man Charged In $106 Shoplifting Incident

Police: Clothing hidden under street clothes.

A 19-year-old Port Chester man is charged with shoplifting in connection with the theft of $106 worth of clothing that he tried to hide under his street clothes on Saturday, according to Port Chester police.

Cristian Lopez of 24 Exchange Place was stopped by security staff at the department store at 431 Boston Post Road, Port Chester, at about 1:30 p.m. Police said Lopez was accused of putting on jeans and a shirt from the store under his own clothes and attempting to leave without paying.

Lopez was charged with petty larceny and faces a hearing in .
