Port Chester Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

Members of the Port Chester Police Department's Detective Bureau, and Investigators of the Westchester County District Attorney's Office Narcotics Initiative, worked together on the case.

Ivan Santiago, 35, of Port Chester was arrested Thursday on felony narcotic charges following an "ongoing drug investigation," according to Police Chief Richard Conway.

Below is the press release from the department concerning the arrest:

On July 24, 2014 at 1200, as part of an ongoing drug investigation, members of the Port Chester Police Department’s Detective Bureau, and Investigators of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Initiative, executed a search warrant on a subject at Poningo St. and Bulkley Ave. in the Village. A subsequent search warrant was executed at a residence used by the suspect. Fourteen packages of cocaine and a quantity of marihuana were recovered. A suspect, Ivan Santiago age 35, of Port Chester was arrested. Santiago was charged with:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a B felony;

Criminal possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree, a class D felony;

Unlawful possession of Marihuana, a violation
