Port Chester Man Arrested After Interfering With Ambulance Crew

Police: 42-year-old man was drunk; screamed, yelled, cursed at EMS workers, cops.

A 42-year-old Port Chester man was arrested on disorderly conduct charges after he interferred with emergency medical workers as they were trying to assist another man who was suffering from a seizure, according to Port Chester police.

An ambulance was called to Poningo Street about 9:13 p.m. Wednesday to help a 35-year-old Port Chester man. As the man was placed in an ambulance and receiving assistance, police said another man came over to the ambulance and opened the doors of the vehicle.

Police said the 42-year-old Port Chester man was intoxicated and then began, yelling, screaming and cursing at the ambulance crews and police when he was told to leave the area. The man was arrested after he refused to leave and would not stop screaming.

The man was later released with a ticket to appear in Port Chester Village Court.
