A taxi driver who thought he was going to be picking up a passenger ended up with a knife at his throat and losing $60 to a thief, according to
The driver pulled up to 9 Palace Place at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday and spotted a man standing there. Police said the driver asked the man if he had called for a ride, but the man asked the driver to wait a minute and he then went to the driver's side of the cab.
As the man approached the cab, police said, he pulled out a knife and placed it at the cab driver's throat and demanding money. Police said the attacker grabbed $60 and ran off.
The driver was not injured and no arrest has been made yet in the incident.
