Police: Woman Faces Grand Larceny Charge After Stealing from Kohl's

Police arrested 43-year-old Jesse Rose Amberstone, of Port Chester, for allegedly stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s, Police Lt. James Ladeairous said.

Amberstone allegedly took a cart full of bedding and other items into a fitting room, in which she stayed for 45 minutes, police said. Staff then saw her walk out the front door with the cart without paying for any items. She ran when security went to get her and left the items behind, but they caught her, Ladeaiours said. Police said she had cut the security tags off the items. Amberstone was charged with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, an E felony and Possession of burglar tools, a misdemeanor.
