Police: Unlicensed Stamford Man Arrested for Aggravated DWI

Port Chester police followed a 35-year-old driver a few blocks while he allegedly swerved through traffic and traveled over the double yellow line before they got him to pull over on Abendroth Avenue and Mill Street in Port Chester on May 25 at 5:21 p.m.

The driver, Jermaine Taylor of Stamford, Ct. allegedly had no seat belt on, glassy eyes and slurred speech, according to the police report. He allegedly admitted to having had a few drinks and later took a blood alcohol test and had a BAC level of more than twice the legal limit. His license was suspended and his car, a gray Toyota, had a cracked windshield and a broken tail lamp, police said.

 Taylor was charged with Aggrevated DWI, a misdemeanor; unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a misdemeanor; and violations for the cracked windshield, broken tail light and no seat belt.
