Fight on Park Avenue leads to arrests, discovery of items in car.

A fight between two young men on Park Avenue led to one of them being arrested on charges of possessing of drugs and stolen GPS units, according to Port Chester Police.
Lt. James Ladeairous said an investigation found that the two GPS units found in a car used by Vincent Lazzaro, 18, of 350 S. Regent St., had been stolen from cars recently in Rye Brook.
Lazzaro was charged with disorderly conduct, illegal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of stolen property after an incident at 6 p.m. on Saturday on Park Avenue at South Regent Street. Ladeairous said village officers found a large group gathered to watch two young men fight, one of them Lazzaro.
Lazzaro and a 17-year-old Port Chester resident were arrested, both charged with disorderly conduct, a violation. Ladeairous said a village officer went to secure Lazzaro's car after his arrest, and in the process the officer found nine clear plastic bags with marijuana under the seats.
Ladeairous said the officer also found two GPS units in the car. The devices were taken to police headquarters, where police checked GPS data on the devices and traced them to homes in Rye Brook.
Police were able to contact two Rye Brook residents who then went to Port Chester to identify the GPS units. One of the Rye Brook residents said he had reported the unit stolen from his car, while the other confirmed the GPS had been stolen from his car but that he had not reported it stolen.
Lazzaro faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
