A Queens man faces a felony counterfeiting charge after Port Chester Police seized 7,206 DVDs and Blu-Ray discs from a booth at the Empire State Flea Market on Friday.

Local police were contacted by an investigator from the MPAA, or Motion Picture Association of America, a trade organization that advocates for movie industry interests. Investigators from the MPAA had visited the flea market as part of the organization's ongoing anti-piracy efforts, purchasing several DVDs from the booth, Capt. John Telesca said.

In all, police seized 6,746 DVDs and 460 Blu-Ray discs when they executed a search warrant at the Boston Post Road flea market a few minutes before 10 a.m. on Friday. Titles were sold for $5 each, according to police. The merchandise was taken into custody as evidence.
