A Port Chester woman's purse was stolen while she was volunteering at the Day Laborer Center.

A Port Chester woman gave her time voluntarily, but her purse wasn't supposed to be part of the deal.

The 29-year-old victim arrived at the Don Bosco Center Tuesday, her first day of volunteering at the group's day laborer center.

She told police she left her purse in an area of the gym where volunteers keep their personal belongings, and discovered it was missing at about 11:45 a.m.
