Police: Port Chester Woman Finds Stranger in Back Yard

Homeless man charged with trespassing.

A North Regent Street resident was startled to find a stranger in her back yard, banging on the rear entrance to her home on Monday.

Port Chester Police say the 50-year-old village resident called police at about 4 p.m. to report the intruder. When police arrived, the found a 33-year-old homeless man had made his way to the rear of the home.

Police said the homeless man was carrying a jacket and a bag of clothes, and he had urinated near the home's back door.

The homeless man was charged with trespassing, a violation. He faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
