Police: Port Chester Woman Arrested after Clash with Boyfriend

No one injured in incident that took place in front of two children; game system smashed.

A Port Chester woman was charged with menacing and criminal mischief on Monday after a dispute with her boyfriend, according to Port Chester Police.

No one was injured in the incident at a home on Pearl Street, but police said the domestic dispute took place in front of two children and an electronic game system was smashed.

Lt. James Ladeairous said village police officers went to the Pearl Street home Monday when a 911 call reported a woman holding a knife on someone. Ladeairous said that when officers arrived at the home, they found Suleka Gonzalez, 34, of Pearl Street, holding a 36-year-old man by his shirt and a knife was on a nearby table.

Ladeairous said that during the dispute, which took place in front of two children ages 5 and 6, Gonzalez is accused of smashing a Playstation system that did not belong to her.

Gonzalez was charged with third-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. She was later released pending a Port Chester Village Court Hearing.

The incident was also referred to Westchester County Child Protective Services for further investigation, Ladeairous said.
