Police: Port Chester Man Threatens His Mother With Knife

Incident took place at Sand Street apartment.

A 37-year-old Port Chester man is accused of threatening his mother with a kitchen knife in a Sand Street apartment, according to Port Chester police.

Village police officers were uncertain at first what the problem was when they were called to the apartment on Sand Street at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After talking with a woman living at the apartment, police said they discovered the woman was upset because her son, Mario Martinez, had come into her bedroom holding a knife and threatened to kill her the night before.

The woman also told police that her son had grabbed her by the hair and pulled her.
