Police: Port Chester Man Charged In Domestic Violence Incident

30-year-old accused of assault, unlawful imprisonment.

A 30-year-old Port Chester man is charged with assault and unlawful imprisonment after a domestic violence incident, according to Port Chester police.

Police said Wilson Ayavaca of Abendroth Place got home early on Sunday, about 11:30 a.m., to his girlfriend's apartment. Ayavaca sat down to breakfast with his girlfriend's 6-year-old daughter and then a dispute broke out between the Ayavaca and the woman.

Police said Ayavaca is accused of pushing the woman to the floor and then grabbing her by the throat and pushing her down again — then sitting on top of the woman until he fell asleep.

The woman, according to police, was able to get free an call police when Ayavaca fell asleep.
