Police: Port Chester Man Arrested After Westchester Avenue Heroin Deal

Narcotics probe includes Port Chester Police, Westchester County Police.

A Port Chester man was charged with heroin sale and possession after narcotics investigators saw a drug deal at a Westchester Avenue gas station, according to Port Chester Police.

Police said Tracy Lighty, 44, of 62 Fox Island Road was arrested by Port Chester Det. Christopher Krzeminski and Westchester County Police narcotics investigators at 3:40 p.m. Friday at the Valero station, 37 Westchester Ave., after Lighty drove into the station and took part in a drug transaction. Lt. James Ladeairous said Lighty was found with four envelopes of heroin.

Lighty was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Ladeairous said the narcotics investigators were working near of the Valero station in response to public complaints about illicit drug transactions in the area. In Friday's incident, Ladeairous said Lighty fought with police officers who arrested him and he was also charged with resisting arrest.

Lighty faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
