He's accused of putting pillow, comforter over woman's head.
An argument over a missing set of headphones led to the arrest of a Port Chester man on charges that he tried to smother his girlfriend in bed, according to Port Chester Police.
John Treacy, 41, of 1 Landmark Square, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor, after a 6:32 a.m. incident on Saturday and was ordered held in the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla pending a hearing in Port Chester Village Court, police said.
Police said Treacy had an argument with a 35-year-old Port Chester woman identified as his girlfriend about a set of missing headphones at home. Treacy is accused of putting a pillow and comforter over the woman's head as she was in bed and then sitting on top of her.
