Police: PC Man Hides In Kitchen After Brawl at Coach Diner

A fight between two men at the Port Chester Coach Diner sent glass shattering and flying when two glass partitions and a glass mirror were broken.

Two Port Chester men were each charged with a felony after they broke glass partitions and a mirror during a brawl at the Saturday, police said.

Officers arrived at the diner at 4:35 a.m. and were greeted by the manager, who told them an argument between two customers quickly spiraled out of control.

One of the men, 35-year-old Jose Tejeda, was nearby. But the other man involved in the brawl, 28-year-old Mauricio Rodezno, ran into the diner's kitchen and tried to blend in with staff.

Although the details of the argument weren't clear, witnesses told police Rodezno insulted Tejeda before the fight turned physical. Two etched glass partitions worth $800 each and an etched glass mirror worth $2,500 were destroyed in the fight, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

While officers were interviewing Tejeda and Rodezno, two women in their group got between the officers and the suspects and began screaming at police. Angela Orrego, 34, of Rye, and Sandra Tejeda, 35, of Port Chester, were eached charged with misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration.

Tejeda, of Westchester Avenue, and Rodezno, of Rectory Street, were each charged with felony second-degree criminal mischief.
