Police: PC Man Charged in Assault on Greenwich Woman
The suspect and victim had a long history of street-side confrontations, police said.
A Port Chester man was arrested for assault after allegedly ripping an earring out of the ear of a Greenwich woman, Port Chester police said.
The 52-year-old victim, formerly from Port Chester, was on Poningo Street at 9 p.m. on Saturday night when Jamar Calhoun, 20, approached her. Calhoun and the victim had a history, with the suspect frequently making derogatory comments, the victim told police.
When Calhoun made remarks again Saturday, the victim asked him why he was hostile to her. That's when Calhoun allegedly smacked the woman across the face, ripping out her earring in the process, Lt. James Ladeairous said.
