A man attempted to sell cocaine to an off-duty Port Chester police officer in a local eatery earlier this month, an act that culminated in two arrests this past Thursday, according to authorities.
The officer was approached by a man offering to sell drugs on Dec. 20; the officer set up a date to purchase about one week down the road, police said.
The officer met with the alleged dealer last Thursday night at 11:23 p.m., and was told to follow the man to his friend's car, where the drugs were stored. At this time the undercover officer called in backup and arrested the two men, both of whom are Port Chester residents.
Javier Mora Cervantes, 25-years-old and from Inwood Avenue, and Ronnie Milton Vicente Lopez, 23-years-old and from Broad Street, have been charged with criminal possession of controlled substance in the third degree and criminal sale of controlled substance in the third degree.
Both are Class B felonies.
