Police: Man Says He Was Attacked, Robbed On Doorstep

$600 reported taken; Port Chester resident says he was jumped by a man and a woman.

A Williams Street man says he was attacked on his doorstep and robbed of his wallet and $600, according to Port Chester police.

Police said the 31-year-old man told police that as he came home at 2:41 a.m. Thursday, he was attacked by a man and a woman as he was putting his key in the door. Police said the Williams Street man reported that the pair took his wallet, which contained cash, a Visa card and a Costco membership card.

In the attack, the man reported that he was punched and knocked to the ground, sustaining a inch-long gash next to one of his eyes. Police said the victim could not provide a detailed description of the attackers and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
