Police: Man Found Armed with Handgun Charged in Port Chester Burglary
Detective spotted car that fit description of vehicle seen around time of Tower Hill Drive break-in.
A 21-year-old man found armed with a handgun has been charged with burglary in connection with a break-in last week in Port Chester, according to Port Chester Police.
Brayan Castano-Carmano, 21, who has no known address but is known in Port Chester, was arrested after a Port Chester detective spotted him in a car on Wesley Avenue at 11:06 a.m. on Friday. Police said Det. Christopher Krzeminski knew Castano-Carmano does not have a driver's license and that there is a court-order requiring him to stay away from the home at which he was parked.
Krzeminski also had learned during an investigation of a recent burglary on Tower Hill Drive that the car being used by Castano-Carmano, a Mitsubishi Montero, matched the description of a car seen in the area at the time of the break-in. Krzeminski called for additional Port Chester police officers to assist him and then Castano-Carmano was told to get out of the Mitsubishi Montero.
