A Port Chester man upset his car was ticketed is charged with obstruction of governmental administration after he had a clash with a village parking enforcement officer, according to .
A 21-year-old female officer was issuing a ticket to a Honda at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Ponengo Street and Irving Avenue when she was approached by James Jones, 54, of Spring Street. Police said Jones was angry and yelling at the officer.
During the confrontation, police said Jones tried to grab the electronic ticket issuing machine carried by the parking officer and managed to knock a cover off the machine.
A the roll of paper contained in the machine was dislodged and fell to the ground.
The parking officer was not injured in the incident. Police said Jones told the officer he had put money in a parking meter, however, the time on the meter for his car was expired.
