A Mamaroneck man is due back in court later this week after he was nabbed for ecstasy and Oxycodone possession on Friday, Port Chester police said.
A witness called police to report a suspicious-looking man hanging out in an alley next to a William Street laundromat at around 9:45 p.m., Lt. James Ladeairous said. When an officer responded to the area, he spotted 21-year-old Lee Dragani on a nearby sidewalk.
When he noticed the officer, Dragani reached into his pocket and tossed something to the ground, and the officer pulled over. Police detained Dragani and recovered the object, which was a bag with 10 Oxycodone pills and three pills later identified as MDMA, or ecstasy, Ladeairous said.
After searching the Mamaroneck man, police also found a plastic bag containing 10 smaller, individually wrapped bags of marijuana.
Dragani, of 131 Washington St. in Mamaroneck, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. He was also ticketed for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Dragani was arraigned in Port Chester village court and sent to Westchester County Jail without the possibility of bail. He's due back in court on Thursday.
