Port Chester cops are working to track down a man who allegedly held up a local gas station with a handgun and made off with cash, authorities said.
Police said a man walked into the Shell Gas Station at 223 Boston Post Road on Friday, Dec. 30 at 9:22 p.m., grabbed a drink and got in line.
When he approached the checkout, he pulled a revolver on the clerk and demanded money, police said -- he was given about $1,000 and then fled.
Authorities describe the man as African American and wearing a black jacket and mask.
The clerk is 48-years-old, police added.
The incident remains under investigation, and may be connected to a recent robbery on Midland Avenue, said Lt. James Laderious.
