Police Identify Port Chester Man Injured in Tree Grinder; Status Remains Critical

Hector Guerra, 28, was seriously injured when he became entangled in a tree grinder last Friday.

Greenwich police have identified the tree worker in a North Street stump grinding accident as Hector Guerra, 28, of Touren Avenue, Port Chester, NY.

He was working at the time for Shady Tree Inc. of Anderson Road, Greenwich, according to Lt. Kraig Gray, public information officer for Greenwich police.

"The circumstance regarding the accident continues to be investigated by the US Department of Labor OSHA," Gray said in a press release.

Guerra was taken to the emergency department at Stamford Hospital. He remains in critical condition at Stamford Hospital, according to spokesman Scott Orstad.
