A homeless man was cited for trespassing after he was found in the basemet of a Sand Street multi-family building, according to Port Chester Police.
Police said a village officer found Elton Gbolie, 29, who has no known address, in the basement of 20 Sand St. on Friday after a resident saw him walking down the building's driveway and was concerned about the man who does not live in the building.
Police found clothing and bedding had been set up in the basement.
Gbolie was charged with third-degree trespassing. He faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
