Police: Drunk Driver Damages Three Parked Cars

A drunk driver allegedly sideswiped one parked car, then swerved into another parked car, pushing it into a third parked car on Aug. 24 tat 11:15 p.m. on Haseco Avenue, police report.

As police arrived to the scene a 32-year-old Locust Avenue man was allegedly yelling “I was driving.”
He told police he had no license, but did have a passport. Police smelled alcohol and administered a field sobriety test, which the driver allegedly failed, police said. He was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a violation; DWI, a misdemeanor; having an open container of beer in the car, a violation and no insurance, a violation. No one was hurt in the incident.
