Police: CT. Man Who Sped Past Cop Charged With DWI
Car went along North Main Street at night without headlights on.
A Stamford, CT, man is charged with drunk driving after he was seen speeding along North Main Street and swerved around a police car, according to Port Chester police.
Noe Palax-Meletz, 21, of 131 Lawn Ave., was stopped Sunday night by a village police officer, who reported that Palax-Meletz appeared intoxicated when he was questioned. Palax-Meletz was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and given tickets for speeding and driving without headlights on.
