A Connecticut man wanted in connection with an attack on a Port Chester woman was arrested after a police officer spotted him in a car near the woman's home, according to Port Chester police.
Stephen Grisanti, 24, of 29 Parker St., Stamford, CT, was arrested Saturday after a brief chase in Port Chester. Police said he is being held in the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla on $5,000 bail pending a hearing in Port Chester Village Court on Friday.
Police said the victim, a 20-year-old Port Chester woman, reported that that on May 29 Grisanti approached her at 12:30 a.m. on Breckenridge Avenue and grabbed her by the wrist. Police said the woman reported she was then grabbed by the throat and threatened by Grisanti.
The victim did not need hospital treatment after the attack, police said.
