Police Blotter: Incidents Around Port Chester

Car window broken, theft charged.

Port Chester police reported several incidents around the village:

- A Greenwich, CT, man is accused of criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the theft of a ring at the in Port Chester on Sunday.

Police said a 22-year-old White Plains woman, customer at the flea market at 415 Boston Post Road, was trying on a ring at a jewelry counter at about 4:30 p.m. and took off her own ring and placed it on the counter. However, when she went to put her ring back on, she discovered the ring was gone from the counter.

Police said a Port Chester police officer at the flea market stopped and questioned Danny Mogollon of 175 Henry St., Greenwich, and discovered that Mogollon had taken the ring. Mogollon faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.

- A 56-year-old Port Chester man told police that the driver's window of his car was broken by three men who approached him about 1:29 a.m. Sunday in the shopping center on Midland Avenue.

The man told police that as he was leaving the supermarket there was a group of men getting off a party bus. The Port Chester resident told police that members of the group were yelling at him, and has he got into his car three of the men grabbed onto his car window and pulled it until the window broke.

Police said the resident was not injured and no arrests have been made in the incident.
