Police Blotter: 2 Bicycles Stolen in Port Chester

Bikes taken from Poningo Street, Willett Avenue.

Two local bicyclists are looking for alternate transportation.

Port Chester police said that two bikes were stolen in separate incidents in the village on Tuesday.

- A 13-year-old Port Chester boy's $200 bicycle was stolen sometime before 7 p.m. on Tuesday from behind a home on Poningo Street.

- A 43-year-old Greenwich, CT, woman's $500 bicycle was stolen sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday from a spot at Willett Avenue and Broad Street. Police said the woman chained and locked the bike to a sign post, just as she does every day during the week. However, when she went to pick up the bike on Tuesday afternoon it was gone.

The bicycles have not been recovered.
