Police Arrest ‘Known Drug Dealer’ for Cocaine

Police officers driving down Palace Place on July 14 at 5:14 p.m. noticed a 47-year-old man who the police department identify as a “known drug dealer,” Lt. James Ladeairous said.

When the man saw the police, he reached into his back pocket and threw something to the ground. Police stopped and found an aluminum foil package that contained cocaine. As they attempted to place the man under arrest for seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance he struggled with the officers so he wa also charged with resisting arrest. Both charges are misdemeanors.
