A New York City man who said he's been waiting decades to see a Rascals concert was arrested at The Capitol Theatre after he tried to get into the show without a ticket, according to Port Chester Police.
Kevin Brennan, 52, of 243 E. 14th St., Manhattan, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a 5:35 p.m. at the theater on Westchester Avenue. Police said Brennan attempted to enter the theater without a ticket and was turned away.
Brennan, according to police, repeatedly went back to the theater entrance and was then told by security staff that he could not enter. Lt. James Ladeairous said Brennan was spotted by police outside the theater as he was causing a disturbance.
At one point, Ladeairous said, the disturbance attacted a crowd and slowed traffic on Westchester Avenue. Ladeairous said that a village police officer warned Brennan repeatedly to leave the area, but he refused.
Ladeairous said Brennan was arrested after he got into a confronation with the village officer. A second village officer assisted in arresting Brennan as a result of the confrontation.
One of the officers suffered a knee injury in the incident, but was able to return to work on Friday.
Brennan faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
