PC Man Arrested for Larceny Twice in One Week

A 33-year-old Port Chester man was arrested for shoplifting twice in one week, according to Police Capt. John Telesca. The most recent arrest was on July 26 at 2:39 p.m. when Stop and Shop security saw the Olivia Street resident hiding various items in his pockets and then trying to leave the store. 

The man was arrested on July 21 for allegedly trying to steal about $80 worth of items from Pathmark after he was seen taking Smirnoff Ice and drinking two bottles while in the store. He was also charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument when police found hypodermic needles in a cigarette box he had on him. 

For each alleged shop lifting offense he was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor.
