Mirrors Smashed on 9 Cars Parked Along King Street

A neighbor heard glass breaking and called police early Saturday morning.

Nine cars in a two-block stretch along King Street were damaged this weekend when a vandal smashed their passenger-side rear-view mirrors, Port Chester police said.

Officers were called to King Street at 1 a.m. Saturday after a neighbor called and said he'd heard glass shattering, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

Police found nine damaged cars along King Street between Poningo Street and Willett Avenue. The right-side windows were either broken off or smashed, indicating the vandal was on foot. Replacement side-view mirrors typically run between $100 and $300.
